Saturday 21st January 2012

It was good to see so many of our regular customers back at the market last weekend although we are still missing a few of our producers who are still recovering from the demands of producing for Christmas and New Year.

This week we hope to have a good range of produce on the food tables including:

Freshly dug, cut or picked vegetables from David in Sudbourne.

Freshly baked sweet and savouries including scones, meringues, marbled cookies, lemon drizzle buns, cakes, sponges, buns and fruit tarts and pies.

Preserves.

On the craft tables:

Cushions and Lavender Bags plus a wide range of wool and woollens to help keep out the cold and damp.

Jewellery, cards, local photos and art  with a range of Images of Suffolk cards with some new mounted prints of the same range ready for framing

This week there may be a few plants and we might see the first of the spring bulbs but a little later on, there will be a succession of bulbs, perennials and then annuals.

We look forward to seeing you in Orford tomorrow.

Thursday 12 January 2012

From everyone at Orford Country Market

We look forward to welcoming you back to Orford Town Hall
on Saturday 14th January from 09.30 to 12.30
and hope you will continue to support our producers
throughout this year as you did in 2011.
Remember, if there is anything you want but don't see,
just let us know and we'll see what we can do.

To start the new year this week we will be offering:

"NEW SEASON'S SEVILLE ORANGE MARMALADE"

On the food tables the usual selection of locally produced baked products including cakes, sponges, buns etc.

Maybe we should stage a "Great Orford Bake Off" between our talented producers!

On the craft tables lots of wool and warm knitted woollies to keep out the cold snap that must be just around the corner, cushions and lavender bags.
